Meet Our Staff Members
Tatiana de la Ossa (Executive Director) is a distinguished educator, director, cultural leader, and passionate advocate for the arts and education. With a remarkable career spanning various countries and disciplines, she has made significant contributions to the world of theatre, cultural development, and academic enrichment. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Far Corners Community Musical Theatre, Tatiana brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. Tatiana's journey in education began with her Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts from the National University of Costa Rica in 1985. Her academic pursuits continued as she earned a Master's in Education and Leadership from Framingham State University in Massachusetts, United States, in December 2022. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in Cultural Management of World Intangible Heritage from UNESCO and the Faculty of Economics at Cordoba University in Argentina, achieved in 2018. Tatiana's dedication to continuous learning is evident through her participation in numerous workshops, seminars, and courses, encompassing topics ranging from theatre specialization to project management.
Tatiana's career has been deeply intertwined with education. Since March 2017, she has served as a Film & Theatre teacher for the International Baccalaureate Program at the Lincoln School, where she has also taught performing arts and audiovisual production. Her earlier teaching roles include positions as a Professor at the Performing Arts School of the National University of Costa Rica in 1989-90 and as a Professor at the Technical Institute in Cartago, Costa Rica, from 1996 to 1997. She has also served as an instructor for various organizations, institutions, and professional development programs, imparting knowledge in areas such as communication, nonverbal communication, social interaction, creative and playwriting, speech, and the arts as pedagogical tools. Tatiana's leadership prowess is evident through her executive positions, notably as the National Director for the Arts at the Culture Secretary, Presidential Office, Government of El Salvador, from January 2015 to May 2013. She managed and supervised programs across various arts departments, including orchestras, choirs, galleries, theatres, and more, contributing significantly to the cultural landscape of the country. Her role as the Executive & Artistic Director of the Suchitoto-Stratford Initiative further showcased her skills in socio-economic development through the performing arts and crafts. Tatiana's impact on the theatre industry is undeniable.
As a director, producer, and manager, she has led numerous successful productions, showcasing her creative vision and dedication. Noteworthy works include adaptations like "Mamma Mia" (2019) with the Lincoln School Theater, Costa Rica, "El Sitio de las Abras" (2018) at the National Theatre of Costa Rica, and "A View from the Bridge" (2016) in collaboration with the National Theatre Company of Costa Rica. Tatiana's passion for education, peace culture, and community engagement underscores her commitment to making a positive impact. Her involvement as an Ambassador for International Day of the Girl Child and volunteering initiatives highlight her dedication to social causes. Tatiana's wide-ranging interests include languages, pre-European history, learning processes, and sustainable practices. As our new Executive Director, Tatiana is set to lead the organization to new heights, leveraging her extensive knowledge, leadership acumen, and passion for the arts. Her multifaceted expertise, coupled with her unwavering commitment to education and cultural development, promises an exciting and transformative future for the theatre and the community it serves.

Darío Villalobos (Managing Director) grew up in Monteverde, graduated from the Cloud Forest School and is a past alumn of Far Corners. Dario has been a long-term collaborator of Far Corners having served as the Music Director, Community Liaison, Orchestra Pit Musician and Translator/Adaptor for several of our summer musical productions. Because of his involvement in Far Corners, Dario decided to pursue a career in the performing arts and subsequently in theatre education. Dario received his B.A in Theatre with concentrations in Management and Media Studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. After graduating from St. Olaf, Dario relocated to Shanghai, China where he lived for four years. He first worked as a Drama Teacher & Public Speaking Instructor for an extracurricular education firm and then went on to work at a Chinese bilingual school where he served as the Head of Performing Arts Department and IBDP/IGCSE Drama Teacher. Dario also holds a K-12 Drama/Theatre Arts Teaching License from the State of Hawaii and a M.Ed degree with a Specialization in Educational & Instructional Technology from Moreland University in Washington, D.C. He is also a member of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), the International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA) and the Singapore Drama Educators Association (SDEA). Currently, Dario lives in Singapore where he serves as a MYP & PYP Theatre Teacher for the German European School of Singapore (GESS).
