Costa Rica Theatre Camp is a summer theatre program for local teens in rural Monteverde, Costa Rica, and visiting teens from the United States. We are looking for adult volunteers (college graduates) to work as theatre educators in this unique setting. If you are a current college student you can participate in our internship program.

Funded Volunteers: June 8th, 2022 - August 8th, 2024

+Conversational Spanish is strongly preferred for these positions.

​Volunteers in the above positions will receive the following benefits:

• Furnished living accommodations (private room in a house or apartment).
• Food stipend of $15 per day.
• Cost of transportation from the SJO airport to Monteverde (provided that the Volunteer travels within the timeframe specified by us).
• Up to $800 of round-trip airfare to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) from the Volunteer’s home of record.​

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, or equivalent amount of relevant work experience.
• Passion for musical theatre and working with children/youth.
• Creativity and willingness to work in a non-traditional theatre setting where resources are limited.
• Interest in and open mind towards immersion in a new culture.
• Flexibility, patience and maturity.
• Leadership experience.
• Proficiency in your area of expertise.
• Commitment to abide by our drug/alcohol policy.
• Willingness to learn some Spanish (Spanish proficiency is valued but not required).
